I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and child of God:
Daughter and sister since birth, child of God since age 7, friend since preschool, wife since age 21, and mother since age 29! For most of my childhood I dreamt of growing up to be a wife and mother. I found an amazing man right away and married him in 1999, but it took eight long years of waiting before I was given the responsibility of mother. Boy, was it worth the wait!
I crunch numbers by day (and love it!) but I still have a sense of humor despite the stereotypes about accountants. Not everyone shares my sense of humor but it doesn’t bother me. I laugh anyway.
I started blogging way back in the day because it was a fun outlet for the crazy thoughts that run around in my head all day. Turns out some people find them amusing, though I’m still not sure why. Now that I know people actually read my blog the writing has changed a bit but I still try to keep it real. Keep it real… that’s so cliche. What I mean is I try to keep writing for the fun of it and not to please or entertain. Otherwise the tone ends up feeling strained, and if you’ve ever eaten anything after it’s been strained, like peas for example, it’s just not appetizing… ew. Oh yeah, I tend to talk about food a lot too. It’s genetic, so those are the posts that usually get my family members commenting.
Thanks for visiting and come back again soon!

hey mindy,
i did a search to find lyrics to Rita Springer’s song – “Worth It All” and came across your website. that song’s been encouraging me, too.
random question: where did you get the lake picture on the top of your webpage? do you know where it’s taken?
thanks. hope you’re having a good week!
jenny
Thanks for visiting, Jenny! To answer your question, I have no idea where the lake is located. The picture came with the template.
I just spent some time reading your stuff and it rings so true. Sometimes I forget that I am the only one with fibro. I go to doctor after doctor – due to all the other things (fibro stuff, injured back, need knee replacement and the list seems to go on!) and I just pull my hair out with their lack of empathy and actually their lack of knowledge!! If I have one more doctor tell me to fight through the pain and just keep exercising I am going to scream!!. What caught my attention was that I found you while researching The Beals institute. The things that you wrote about Dr Beals sound so reaffirming. I’m looking for a new rheumotologist and have seen her at a seminar. I have switched docs so many times that I am really doing my homework now – so I thank you for being where I was looking and allowing me to read something from a patients point of view! Good health and less pain to you, Bobbie
